SELF PORTRAIT

This picture was taken today at the memorial service for my mother's sister who passed away one year ago. It consists of photographs of my sister, two of my aunts and two cousins. 

I see the ones we lost in this image – my mother and her sister, and I see myself. These women are a part of me, and I'm a part of them.

I have not been photographed for this image. Yet still – it is a portrait of me.
